This year's Don't Move, Improve! competition is being held at The Building Centre, in London
This year marks the seventh year of New London Architecture’s ‘Don’t Move, Improve!’ competition which showcases 24 of the best home extension and home improvement projects in London, shortlisted from a staggering 120 entries. The winners will be chosen from the 24 shortlisters and announced at an awards ceremony on 26th January. This awards ceremony then kicks off an exhibition where all 24 of the shortlist entries can be seen for the following two months, and also includes a design surgery, on Saturday 25th February, where you can gain free advice and inspiration from industry experts and this year’s shortlisted architects.
The exhibition takes place in London’s iconic Building Centre, a hub for inspiration and innovation where both industry experts and the general public can learn about and add to the ongoing discussions regarding the built environment.
Here at Westbury we pride ourselves on our innovation and forward thinking nature, and make it our goal to manufacture the highest quality product, with the best technical and energy-saving features of proven continental design, without impacting the traditional British heritage appearance. We are proud to have a stand at The Building Centre displaying several examples of our work, including an example of our popular roof lanterns, and a selection of windows and doors all fitted into brickwork for full effect.
We spent two years researching the latest in manufacturing technologies and sustainable materials before designing our latest range, which we believe is the best available today. By using engineered timber in combination with the revolutionary Accoya®, we feel we’ve struck gold with our product quality in terms of its outstanding stability, durability and longevity.
All of our windows and doors are the perfect addition to any new build or renovation project as they are manufactured to the highest quality using the best technologies, while preserving the building’s traditional style. Testament to this is the results of the security, weather and energy testing our products have been subject of in order to ensure they not only meet but often exceed building regulations.
A full list of all our product’s specifications can be found on our website, including; a Declaration of Performance for each product outlining the energy efficiency and weather testing results; and security information including PAS24 (Part Q building regulation) test results; and CE mark certifications.
