Country Home Refurbishment with New Casement Windows and Doors
When refurbishing this country property, it was important for the homeowners that their new casement windows and doors played an important role in their home’s appeal, comfort and energy efficiency.
The casement windows and external front door were painted in an off white, Westbury Birch, for a clean fresh finish. The traditional four pane casement window design truly transforms the property, adding character and charm.
The V-groove boarded entrance door with vision panel fits perfectly with the two new side timber windows, both glazed with Flemish patterned glass.
Supplied and fitted with our standard 28mm thick double glazing, the owners will benefit from the exceptional energy efficiency. The low-e reflective coating will help block ultraviolet rays, whilst the argon fill gap between the panes help to insulate and increase efficiency.
All Westbury windows and doors use warm edge spacer bars to insulate the edges of the sealed units. Traditionally spacer bars are aluminium, which is highly conductive and allows heat to pass through the window easily. Timber, on the other hand, is a natural insulator.
These new timber casement windows and doors have ticked all the owners’ boxes and have given this property a new lease of life. One to be cherished for many years to come.
All Westbury joinery is bespoke and can be adapted to fit any style of house. We work hard to provide the right product and design to make a house feel like a home.
