This listed building in Ware required a sympathetic renovation and the use of timber windows throughout.
When the developer bought this listed property, it has been empty for some years and so entitled them to a reduced VAT rate on the costs of renovating the property.
This client is the MD of a construction company, who took on the that renovation project of this building to make it into his own home. We are always delighted when developers call on us for their own personal housing projects, because then we know that we’ve done a great job on performance and service in our previous work with them, and they consider us to be the best option for the job that really counts.
On this project we supplied, measured and delivered Legacy Box Sash Windows with SN70 solar reflective glazing to reduce the heat in summer, in addition to faceted/shaped bay windows to the side elevation with a curved cill projection to finish. We used sister company Westbury Garden Rooms to design and create a garden room with two roof lanterns for added light and space, which sits harmoniously with the building’s historic design. Sympathetic renovation design is a key area of expertise for Westbury which is architecturally led and has an extensive understanding of period building dynamics.
The windows look fabulous!”Mr & Mrs S
